Ultimate Bet Poker is one of the oldest online poker rooms. Their software is not bad but for the most part it sucks. There seems to be a lot of functions that are completely useless in the software, such as the ability to change the background to be in all different places, like anyone would care. The cards on Ultimate Bet are almost impossible to read the suits on a good resolution monitor. It is best to check three times before moving all in with the nut flush.

Some time ago Ultimate Bet Poker realized that offering a puny bonus was hurting them. They have since opened themselves up for abuse by opportunists looking for a good bonus. The Good about Ultimate Bet's bonus: It never expires. You can deposit and then come back in three years to grind through the bonus. The bad about Ultimate Bet's bonus: It never clears. It may take you three years to earn it.

Ultimate Bet boasts one thing that no other poker site can claim: Phil Hellmuth! As if they were not losing enough market share they had to go out and recruit old Phil to stump for them. This is like Microsoft hiring Charles Manson to improve their public image. Ain't gonna help. The good thing about Phil Hellmuth being the spokesman for Ultimate Bet is that whining must be allowed at the tables. If not he could not play there.

Bottom line: Ultimate Bet Poker sucks but not as bad as some poker rooms. If you can get used to the small buttons and small suits on cards, you will come out just fine here.
